On the road - departure

Life is not static, we humans are often on the move, of our own accord or forced to be. People who are on the move often radiate a special energy. As social beings, we perceive this very strongly, it draws us in. Situations of departure can vary greatly, from the youthful dynamism of teenagers, to the focused knowing composure of a newly arrived refugee who has just completed a large part of his "on the road." It seems to me that human history to this day is a story of incessant departure, and that we have developed a special sense of perceiving this on-the-go-ness in our fellow human beings.

"One can say, in general terms, that becoming human as such owes itself to a preference for mobility"

My story behind the collection

Again and again I am amazed at myself, how strongly I am attracted to situations of being on the road, of setting out. Obviously, I intuitively grasp what I see, I get into a positive mood and feel energized. I wonder what evolution has "thought" about this?
